How to Find the Quantity for Landscape Circles

Filling a round landscape bed with mulch or stone

1).  Find the diameter of the circle which is the longest point of the inside of the circle.

2).  Divide that number by 2, this equals the radius of the circle.

3).  Take the radius multiply that by the radius (its self), multiply that by 3.14.  You now have the square foot of your circle to be filled.

4.)  To find the yards you need.  Take your square foot multiply that by the depth in feet, divide by 27.

Building a round garden bed border

1.)  You will need your radius.

2).  Multiply 2 by 3.14 by your radius, this equals the circumference of your circle.
